Gémeaux

Si:

Si is irretrievably intoxicated on the idea of romance and the many tales it can tell. Egotistical by nature, but nothing overwhelming. Not so overtly confident, but confident, nonetheless. Si tends to be more direct and upfront about matters concerning the opposite sex. He doesn’t really care where its going, or what’s next, he just enjoys living in the moment and creating memories he can always ponder over when he’s alone.

You see, it’s the solitude that helps ease his mind. That is unfortunately where he feels he is safe. When the silence is loud and he's all alone with his thoughts to process over because I guess he just prefers it that way. It’s the way he’s been doing it his whole life, it’s probably the only way he knows how to do it.

Si is a fiend for the rush of fresh romance similar to the ones in the movies that begin at the dawn of spring or the middle of summer. Where the euphoria never ends and the sunsets last a little longer, so we have more time to spend. However, despite his lust for romance he has never quite been fortunate enough to get into a formal relationship. This neither pleases nor saddens Si because I guess he’s always thinking about the next love story. Trying to find the so-called woman of his dreams that in reality just does not exist.

With time, Si eventually got too comfortable with his solitude. It rendered on to the point where he himself started to question whether he’s a sucker for love itself or just the pain that comes with it during the aftermath of it all. - The kind of pain and heartache that proceeds after the sudden detachment from a person who previously meant the entire world to you. Strange right? His slight fixation towards despair and despondency. Never really understood that myself actually.

All in all, Si is really just searching for that girl from Ipanema. So dark and mysterious not even the moon could bear her secrets. Have a love affair so twisted you’d probably think its scripted.

Simon:

Simon is shamelessly heartfelt and sensitive towards the beauty the world has to offer, and all the cruelty that lives in it. Definitely much more patient than Si, and a little less pessimistic too. Simon tends to have a better grip over his vices which amuses me because he handles his grief in a more strenuous manner.

Simon feels lost more often than not. He’s sort of in this place where nothing really excites him anymore. I mean we all have things we wish to accomplish in our lives but, he just feels like everything right now is all a little too mundane. It got to the point where he’d actually feel trapped at times because he would find himself having to adjust in order to adapt to what’s considered the norm nowadays. - He probably should voice out his opinions more, but he eventually found more solace in staying silent.

As far as the whole romance thing goes for him, he feels like romance is now just money being exchanged from one hand to another and is frightened about just how normalised we’ve all made it. – However, despite his thoughts I know deep down the core of his frustrations is mainly derived from the irreversible fact that his heart still longs for “her” to come and save him.

You see, a considerable part of him is still drunk on the idea that love can heal his brokenness. He has absolutely no interest in short flings or fake love or dating for convenience. He’s looking for that forever kind of love. He’s trying to find his person in every possible aspect and move forward without ever having to look back.  He’s looking for that escape, and his desire to escape is only amplified by the idea that “she’d” go with him because deep down all Simon ever really wanted was someone to tell him everything will be okay when no one else will. To have someone wipe the tears off his face for a change and never leave him or use him like the rest of them did.
